Bayern Munich’s defense crisis: Kompany in expected lineup against Inter Milan

Bayern Munich will host Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening in one of the most anticipated first-leg clashes of the Champions League quarter-finals.

Inter qualified for this round after finishing fourth in the league and defeating Dutch side Feyenoord 4-1 on aggregate in the round of 16.

Bayern Munich finished 12th in the league and defeated Scottish side Celtic 3-2 on aggregate in the play-off for the round of 16, before crushing fellow German side Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 on aggregate in the round of 16.

Bayern are suffering from several absences in today’s match, most notably in defense, including Hiroki Ito, Alphonso Davies, and Dayot Upamecano.
